Prince William Lacrosse Club is following the CDC’s guidelines, US Lacrosse, and Virginia’s reopening plans for youth sports. There are several recommendations we will be following to keep participants and spectators safe.
 
Guidelines for All Participants:
Participant screening for symptoms before coming to field/facilities with the following questions:

  • Have you or the participant been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
  • Are you or the participant experiencing any of these symptoms that are not attributed to another health condition: cough, loss of smell or taste, runny nose, shortness of breath, or a sore throat?
  • Have you or the participant had a fever over 100.4 degrees in the last 48 hours?
  • Have you or the participant received a positive result from a COVID-19 test within the past 14 days?
  • Have you or the participant been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 within the last 14 days?

Spectator requirements:

  • If you feel sick, please do not come to the field
  • All spectators must wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing guidance
  • All spectators should enter and exit the field of play as quickly as possible; this ensures social distancing can be maintained as games / practices are  ending and beginning.
  • Follow recommended hygiene practices: wash hands frequently, avoid touching your face; practice proper etiquette when coughing or sneezing
  • No food or other beverages outside of water should be brought to the field.

Players:

  • Bring a personal water bottle that must be labeled with the player's name
  • Must not share equipment, towels, or water bottles
  • Must adhere to social distancing guidance while on the sidelines
  • Players should wear a face covering while entering and exiting the field area.

Coaches:

  • Coaches certify their players and staff are screened for COVID symptoms per the guidance above.
  • Must wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing guidance
  • Must ensure that players are following COVID-19-related prevention measures included herein.
  • No pre/post event handshakes/ huddles/ meetings. Participants must leave the field after the event, no post-play socializing on the field
  • Coaches should use extreme caution when giving high fives, handshake lines, and other physical contact with team, opposing players, or officials.
